These terms apply to your use of this website and the Terminal Academy course, run by Sabit Kazeem Ololade in Nigeria ("we", "us"). By buying or using the paid course you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not buy it.

1. What Terminal Academy is

Terminal Academy is an interactive course that teaches Bash, Linux and Git by having you type real commands in your own terminal. A free part, Terminal Survivor, can be used without paying. The paid part, Terminal Explorer and the Git missions, unlocks with a licence.

2. Buying

Payments are processed by Creem, which is the merchant of record and the seller on your receipt. Creem also handles taxes. Your purchase is also subject to Creem's own terms and privacy policy. Your card statement will show Creem, not us.
Prices are in US dollars. The first 100 seats are $19 and include lifetime access. After those seats are gone, the price is $25 and includes 6 months of access. We may change prices for future buyers, which never affects a purchase you have already made.
One purchase is one licence for one person. There are no subscriptions and nothing renews automatically.

3. Your licence and access

Personal and non-transferable. The licence is for you only, to use on up to 2 of your own computers. You can move it between computers from inside the app.
6-month access starts on the day you pay. When it ends, the paid missions lock. Your progress stays on your computer and the free missions keep working.
Lifetime access means access for as long as we continue to offer and run the paid course. If we ever decide to end it, we will give reasonable notice by email.
Paid missions are downloaded when you open them and may be kept on your computer for up to 7 days before the app checks your licence again. You need an internet connection for that check.

4. What you may not do

Share, sell, rent or publish your licence or activation code, or let others use it.
Copy, redistribute or resell the lessons, mission text or any part of the course, including in AI training sets or public repositories.
Bypass, tamper with or reverse engineer the licence checks.
Use the service unlawfully or in a way that harms others or our systems.

If you do, we may revoke your licence without a refund.

5. You are running real commands

The missions have you run real commands in your own terminal. We design them to work inside a temporary practice folder, but you run them on your own computer and at your own risk. Please keep backups of anything important and do not run the course on a machine or account you cannot afford to break.

6. Our content

The course, its text, missions, code and branding belong to us. You get a personal, non-exclusive licence to use them for your own learning, and nothing beyond that. The free Terminal Survivor part is also for personal use only.

7. Changes and availability

We may update, improve, reorder or fix missions at any time. We aim to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.

8. Refunds

Our Refund Policy is part of these terms.

9. Ending your licence

You may stop using the course at any time. We may suspend or end a licence that breaks these terms, is refunded, or is the subject of a payment dispute.

10. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, the course is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will meet your needs, give you a particular job or skill level, or be free of mistakes. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

11. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profit or lost opportunities, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the course is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Please email us first so we can try to fix a problem informally. This does not remove any mandatory consumer rights you have in the country where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Changes do not apply to purchases made before the change in a way that makes your position worse.
